Evaluation of Awards
Judging Secretariat - Criteria
The awards will be judged by an esteemed panel of experts from ASEAN+1, UNESCO, LADA, environmental organizations and NGO. Criteria will include innovation, sustainability impact, community engagement, and replicability. Judges will ensure transparency and uphold the awards’ integrity. The evaluation process will celebrate excellence while setting benchmarks for future initiatives.
Distinguished figures such as Prof. Ibrahim Komoo will lead while Dr. Azmil Bukhari and key officials from ASEAN member countries will be inducted into the panel, to ensure a fair assessment of projects and initiatives. Local experts on geopark management and development and NGOs like Friends of Langkawi Geopark (FLAG) will be invited to take part as evaluators.
An evaluation secretariat will oversee the rigorous process that highlights the significance of the An online application platform will be developed to enable participants to submit their projects or initiatives for consideration. This would ensure the process is user-friendly and accessible.
